Dr. John Toll, who has long been involved in the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), has been appointed as a founding member of the International Board of Environmental Risk Assessors (IBERA). IBERA will work to further the use of up-to-date scientific methods and principles in the environmental risk assessment of chemicals and other stressors. To that end, IBERA will develop and administer professional certification exams for environmental risk assessors worldwide.
